Should I replace my tub and tile or just cover it over with acrylic panels?
Did you know that at Metropolitan Bath and Tile we can replace your bathtub and the tile walls above your tub for the SAME price that other companies charge just to cover the old tub and tile walls with acrylic panels?
When comparing tile walls to acrylic walls, did you know that tile, when installed correctly, will last practically forever, will never scratch, is the easiest surface to clean, gives you unlimited choice in color, texture, and style, and is much more valuable to a potential buyer, should you ever sell your home.
There is no comparison between the quality of a porcelain-on- steel bathtub and an acrylic liner placed over your old tub, especially considering that the price is the same. With a new porcelain- on- steel bathtub there is never the risk of getting water trapped between the old tub and the new acrylic liner should the caulking ever crack, which ALWAYS happens sooner or later.
Did you know that with Metropolitan, it only takes 2 days to replace your tub and tile walls and a complete bathroom remodel typically takes only 5 days, Monday through Friday?
Metropolitan’s remodeling crews are so neat and clean that most customers experience minimal dust and disruption to their daily lives while the bathroom is being remodeled. Many customers say that we leave their homes cleaner than it was before we started.
Newly remodeled bathrooms will add value to your home and help your home sell faster. If your tub and tile is covered over with acrylic panels a prospective buyer will wonder what problems have been concealed, such as mold, mildew, and rot. This may actually be detrimental to resale value.
